Treatment protocol

Strict patient selection
Not for true dynamic wrinkles — those require standard intramuscular toxin. Mesotox treats skin quality.

Reconstitution
100 U botulinum toxin A in 4 ml preservative-free saline. Use within 24 h.

Antisepsis
Chlorhexidine 2%, sterile field.

Topical anaesthesia
EMLA 20 min, fully removed.

Intradermal micro-blebs
0.01–0.02 ml per point in superficial dermis, 1 cm spacing. Total dose 20–40 U full face.

No massage
Do not massage to avoid diffusion into underlying muscle.

Documentation
Standardised photos. Effect peaks at 2 weeks, lasts 3–4 months.
Contraindications
Do not treat if…
- Pregnancy / lactation
- Neuromuscular disorders (myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton)
- Aminoglycoside antibiotics (potentiation)
- Active infection at injection site
- Known hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin
Aftercare
Patient instructions
- Remain upright for 4 hours post-treatment
- No facial massage, sauna, or vigorous exercise for 24 hours
- No facials or laser for 2 weeks
- Effect develops gradually over 7–14 days
