Treatment protocol
7 steps
- 01
Pre-treatment imaging
Document with cross-polarised light to capture pigment and vascular components.
- 02
Antisepsis
Chlorhexidine 2%, sterile field.
- 03
Topical anaesthesia
EMLA 20 min, fully removed before injection.
- 04
Deep boluses
0.1 ml supraperiosteal boluses at 3 points along infraorbital rim, lateral to mid-pupillary line.
- 05
Superficial micro-papules
0.01 ml in dermis every 0.5–1 cm to address skin quality.
- 06
Compression
Sterile gauze compression 1 min.
- 07
Series
3–4 sessions every 2 weeks. Visible results from session 2.
Contraindications
Do not treat if…
- Fish protein allergy (salmon-derived)
- Pregnancy / lactation
- Active autoimmune disease
- Active periorbital infection
Aftercare
Patient instructions
- Cold compress 10 min/hour for 4 hours
- Sleep elevated 2 nights
- SPF 50 + sunglasses for 1 week
- No retinoids or acids on area for 5 days
